Daniele Nestola last night won the Latin American Poker Tour's Grand Final in São Paolo, Brazil, collecting a first prize of $168,747. Team PokerStars pro Daniel Negreanu finished in sixth place for $28,423.
The fourth season of PokerStars' Latin American Poker Tour came to an end last night, as German Daniele Nestola took home the win at the tour's Grand Final in São Paolo, Brazil.
Nestola entered the eight-player final table as the chip leader, and continued to dominate the events until he had secured himself the win after just four hours of play - the second-fastest LAPT final table in history.
On his way to the title, Nestola took care of four of the seven eliminations himself, starting with the ousting of Juan Gonzales in eight place.
Next to go was Brazilian Vitor Torres in seventh, before Team PokerStars pro
Daniel Negreanu fell in sixth place for a $28,423 payout.
Nestola then went on to eliminate both Jonathan Markovits and Felipe Morbiducci in fifth and fourth place, respectively, before finally sending Chilean Carlos Ibarra to the rail in third.
After the elimination of Ibarra, Nestola struck a deal with eventual runner-up Gasperino Nicolas, which gave both players $145,823 and left $22,748 and the title up for grabs.
The decision came as Nestola made a straight a few hands after and got the fatal call from Nicolas.

For the win, Nestola collects a total of $168,747, which is also the German's biggest single cash to date.
Meanwhile, Daniel Negreanu will also have reason to celebrate despite his premature exit from the final table, as he is now the only player in history to have made EPT, APPT and LAPT final tables.
The Latin American Poker Tour will now go on a break, before returning for Season V later this year.
Stops and details about buy-ins have not yet been released, but this information is expected to hit
the official LAPT website very soon.
