PokerStars has parted ways with 2005 World Series of Poker Champion Joe Hachem. Hachem says that he is ready to pursue other career opportunities after more than half a decade as a Team PokerStars pro.

The World Poker Tour has announced that Marianela Pereyra will replace Kimberly Lansing as WPT anchor. The former Poker After Dark hostess will begin her new job in Venice in February.

Fifteen of Germany's sixteen states have approved a new gambling law that will introduce a limited licensing system. Schleswig-Holstein in northern Germany was the only state to opt out.

PokerStars, PartyGaming and 888 Holding are ready to enter the Danish market once new legislation come into effect on January 1st. The three giants are among 38 entities that have been granted a Danish online gambling license.
