Doyle Brunson is still going strong and continues to crush the Las Vegas live cash games, he writes in a new blog post. The games are big, juicy and often running for whole days, Brunson reveals.
Living poker legend Doyle Brunson is still going strong, although he is no longer traveling the world to play in the biggest tournaments of the year.
Instead, Brunson revealed in a blog post a couple of weeks ago, he has now turned his attention to Las Vegas and its many live cash games, where he continues to do well despite his old age.
According to Brunson's latest blog post, the live scene is Las Vegas is also going strong, and there is only little sign of Black Friday's effect in Sin City, where a number of big cash games continue to be popular among the players.
"Poker is going strong in Vegas. There is two or three medium stake
poker games every day. The games aren't as high as they were before Black Friday, but at least they are going every day," Brunson writes.
"The games are $300/$600 at the Aria and $600/$1,200 at the Bellagio with the stakes going a little higher sometimes. There seems to be lots of players because there is usually a waiting list," he adds.
While Brunson doesn't reveal who else are playing in the Las Vegas games, he admits to have done extremely well for himself, although the sessions are long and he is struggling with high blood pressure.
"I've been playing every day 8-12 hours each time despite having high blood pressure. I've been feeling good and have been on a heater winning 14 out of the past 15 days," Brunson writes without providing any numbers.
Brunson also describes an attempt to take up swimming and healthier eating in the full blog, which can be read
