Fertitta Interactive is ready to launch its new Ultimate Poker brand, which will be available for real-money play for Nevada residents in the near future. The launch marks an ambitious move by the casino and entertainment giant.
Fertitta Interactive is set to launch a new social gaming platform, called Ultimate Gaming.
The Las Vegas-based casino giant – owner of the Station Casinos and the Ultimate Fighting Championship – will first launch Ultimate Gaming as a free-to-play social gaming platform, but will be looking to introduce real-money online gambling with a Nevada gambling license.
The launch of the platform will include
online poker and will mean a significant expansion to Fertitta's presence in the Nevadan gambling ecology.
Ultimate Gaming will further be tied to the UFC brand, offering an overlapping connection between the wildly popular fighting
league and online gaming in Nevada.
"With our unique ability to leverage the overlapping demographics between online gaming, traditional gaming and the worldwide sports and entertainment brand of the UFC, Ultimate Gaming is ideally positioned to rapidly capture a significant following in the United States and throughout the globe," Fertitta Intetactive chairman Tom Breitling said in a press release.
The first product to be launched under the Ultimate Gaming brand will be Ultimate Poker, which will be available for free already this summer.
Fertitta will then work to receive an approval from the Nevada Gaming Commission in order to expand the offering to real-money games once the Nevada intrastate online gambling system goes live early next year.
Fertitta Interactive is a daughter company of the Fertitta Entertainment brand, run by the two brothers, Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta.
Besides running the UFC, the company also manages a large portfolio of other businesses in the entertainment industry, including the Golden Nugget Casino on the famous Las Vegas strip.
