Isildur1 defeats Kanu7 in latest SuperStar Showdown
Viktor "Isildur1" Blom took another scalp in his SuperStar Showdown series last night after defeating Andrew "Kanu7" Millar. Blom took the win after securing a $37,000 profit after 2,500 hands of play.
Viktor "Isildur1" Blom last night defeated yet another challenger in his SuperStar Showdown series, as Andrew "Kanu7" Millar was sent home with a taste of the Swede's remarkable heads-up No Limit Hold'em skills.

The two had arranged a match to be played yesterday night at 6pm CET on PokerStars, with the setup consisting of four tables of $100/$200 NLHE with a 2,500-hand limit.

Blom immediately took charge of the largely one-sided game, while "Kanu7" never really managed to fight his way back.

The Swede was leading by various amounts nearly from start to finish, and when hand number 2,500 was reached Blom had secured himself yet another comfortable win with a total profit of $37,687.

Despite the lack of intensity that last week's match against Isaac "ike" Haxton had witnessed, the battle did see a single remarkable hand playing out in a pot worth more than $100,000.

With the board reading and with more than $37,000 already in the pot, Millar shoved all-on for another $32,000. "Isildur1" snap-called the shove and revealed his for nothing but bottom pair, but the call was good against "Kanu7"'s .

The win will bring Blom's record in the series to 10 wins and just three defeats in 13 matches, with his total earning so far nearing $700,000.

A new challenger will now get the chance to take him on and try and stop the winning streak, although the series' next contender has yet been announced.
