"Isildur1" returns to the online tables with $177,000 win
Viktor "Isildur1" Blom was back in action at the online tables last night following a one-month break. Blom ended a long session as the biggest winner of the night, adding $177,308 to his bankroll.
Viktor "Isildur1" Blom was back at the high stakes tables last night, following more than one month away due to his participation in the World Series of Poker.

Blom started out his evening at the $25/$50 PLO tables but quickly moved up to face a number of opponents at the juicier $100/$200 tables.

All in all, the Swede managed to play 3,789 hands, giving him a total profit of $177,308, according to Highstakesdb.com.

The run was enough to make Blom the biggest winner of the night, placing him in front of "5tgb6yhn7" with $132,188 in profits and Rui "PepperoniF" Cao, who won $113,769 in just 717 hands.

The win will help "Isildur1" claw back a bit of his losses for the year, which are now at $1.35 million. Seen over the whole of his career on PokerStars, however, Blom is still up around $120,000.

Meanwhile, on the yearly chart "EireAbu" continues his total domination of the high stakes games and has now collected a whopping $3,43 million profit just eight months into 2012.

He is followed on the next two places by Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky with $2.2 million and "bernard-bb" with $1.44 million.

The biggest loser of the year is still the anonymous "Zypherin", who has lost more than $2.7 million since January 1st.

Other big losers include Blom with $1.35 million, Ben "toweliestar" Spindler with $913,899, and the mysterious "1Il|1Il|1il|" with $759,718.

People can say high stakes poker "has its swings," but his stats/profits just show his career online. He's still losing 1, 350, 000 for the year, and is only up 120, 000 overall. That's not really successful in my book.

Whenever I hear this guy's name, all I think of is him in the WSOPE when he went all in on a bluff with king high, and the other guy called with trip aces...the video is on youtube.

Still though, more than $170K isn't a bad take for a session

Isildur is one of my favorites PokerStars PROs players, he is not attached to fixed models, he is able to win in several different situations and against several sorts of players, he can change his style and quickly adjust his game to different opponents, what makes him pretty much unpredictable.......just love it!!!!

Has anyone played with this kid online or seem him live? He is literally fearless, but sometimes that leads to wrecklessness. Its crazy how someone who has put up huge scores like him is only making 20 something thousand a year. Makes me doubt the realisticness of being a successful pro. It seems like pros are either rich or backed by someone rich. They just chill and play poker.

I dont think that he cheated. At least if he did cheat I have not heard anything about it. He quit being a team PokerStars pro so that he could join the Full Tilt team.

This guy is unbelievably crazy!! But, I do agree with several other guys saying for the amount this guy plays with an overall up about 25k a year, that in my book isn't very successful if you ask me, Not saying he isn't a great well rounded player!! Just not very successful, I don't believe!! Just my opinion tho!
