Federated Sports + Gaming's Global Poker Index has been updated, listing the 300 most prolific tournament pros of today. Jason Mercier tops the ranking for the fourth week in a row.
The weekly update of Federated Sports + Gaming's Global Poker Index has been released and published on the official GPI website.
The Global Poker Index lists the 300 best tournament pros of today based on their performances by finishing in cash positions in qualifying tournaments across the previous 36 month period.
Jason Mercier continues to dominate the ranking, as he maintains the top spot for the fourth week in a row, with a total score of 2,618.67, closely followed by Erik Seidel in second place with 2,598.67 points.
Seidel, however, is currently placed second in the second Epic Poker League event with just the final table to go, and a big result here could propel him to the top of the index, as Mercier himself busted from the same event without making it inside the money.
As for the remainder of the list, most placed were switched around slightly, however without changing much of the composition of names that make up the the top-ten.
Eugene Katchalov, who took third place at the EPT Barcelona last week, swapped spots with Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier in third and fourth place, respectively, while Tom "Kingofcards" Marchese and Sorel Mizzi follow in fifth and sixth place.
Seventh is Fabrice Soulier followed by
Daniel Negreanu in eight, and finally WPT World Champion Scott Seiver is ninth followed by
John Juanda, who concludes this week's top-ten.
