PokerStars is ready with a new high stakes heads-up challenge, called the Limit Hold'em Challenge. The new $150,000 duel will feature PokerStars own Daniel Negreanu in its first round on Saturday.
Following the successful spell of Viktor Blom's SuperStar Showdown series,
PokerStars has now launched a new
high stakes heads-up duel called the Limit Hold'em Challenge.
The new series will, as the name reveals, be played as a number of Limit Hold'em matches over the next coming months.
Each game will feature two tables of $200/$400 Limit Hold'em, with with each player bringing $75,000 to the match.
Each bout will then run for 1,250 hands, or until one player has busted the other.

The series will kick off already this Saturday, when Team PokerStar Pro's own
Daniel Negreanu sits down to face Limit Hold'em specialist "rUaBot" for the very first heads-up challenge.
Negreanu is no stranger to the Limit Hold'em format and has produced many results from playing this variation throughout his career.
Despite the popularity of the game declining in recent years as No Limit Hold'em took over, Negreanu still sees certain advantages in the Limit Hold'em format.
"In my opinion, fixed limit is more strategic than no limit," Negreanu said to the
PokerStars Blog.
"In no-limit, you always have some guessing games like 'would he bluff here or wouldn't he?.' Of course, such situations often happen in fixed-limit, too, but there is much more space for general strategic adaptions than in no-limit. I think, setting up your standard game is pure math, but exploiting your opponents patterns is an art... and will always be!" he added.
The first round between Negreanu and "rUaBot" will take off on Saturday May 5th at 9PM CET.
