The high stakes games have been running hot all week, but especially two players have been feeling the heat. "patpatman" is up $446,000 for the past 48 hours, while Phil Galfond has lost more than $600,000.
The online
high stakes tables have been glowing with activity all week, with several of the regulars getting a piece of the action.
Among those who created headlines earlier this week was Team PokerStars Pro's Viktor "Isildur1" Blom, who booked a $600,000 win on Tuesday playing in the nosebleed PLO games.
In his usual style, Blom would go on to drop a chunk of his winnings already on Wednesday morning, instead leaving the top spot to the anonymous "patpatman".
"patpatman" turned on the heat in a number of big games, and ended with a $446,765 profit to make him the biggest winner for the past 48 hours, according to numbers from
Highstakesdb.com.
Jens "Jeans89" Kyllönen and German regular "mTw-DavIN" also had big runs, pocketing $344,795 and $228,926, respectively.
Meanwhile, most of the other usual suspects have been losing big since Tuesday morning, including Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies, Patrik "Fake Love888" Antonius and Phil "MrSweets28" Galfond.
Antonius lost a bit more than $300,000, while "Ziigmund" dropped $163,460, but none of the two were ever near the nightmare numbers of Galfond, who has now lost a staggering $687,444 in the past two days.
Galfond's uncharacteristically bad run is not yet threatening his yearly profit, but according to the pro himself, there is room for improvement if he is to turn around the tide.
"I need to work on my all-in game" Galfond stated this morning via his
Twitter.
