Patrik Antonius has been unveiled as the face of new online gaming brand iGame.com. As part of the new sponsorship, Antonius will take on one lucky player in a heads-up battle for €20,000.
Patrik Antonius has signed a new sponsorship deal with online gaming brand iGame.com,
Pokerfuse reports.
Antonius, who was one of the most recognizable pros on the former Full Tilt Poker Pro Team, will celebrate his new deal by lining up for a special heads-up challenge, hosted by iGame.
The challenge will take form as a €330 tournament on July 8, which will give away one seat to the heads-up challenge. Players will also be given a chance to qualify for one of 36 seats, set to be given away in
freerolls and Facebook
promotions.
The winner of the qualification event will then get a challenge to face the Finnish pro in two live-streamed heads-up events.
If the qualifier manages to beat Antonius over the two events, he or she will walk away with a €20,000 cash prize.
Antonius' deal with iGame is notable, as it is the first time a member of the Full Tilt pro team signs up for a new endorsement deal.
The team originally consisted of players like
Gus Hansen, Tom "
durrrr" Dwan and
John Juanda, but it remains unknown whether or not they are still officially attached to the site, which has been out of business since June last year.
Antonius' new employers from the iGame.com brand launched their first
online poker room earlier this year.
The first skin to launch was the iGame poker room on Relax Gaming's new fast-fold
poker network, and was later joined by another room hosted by IGT/Entraction. Besides these, iGame also runs PokeriHuone and
24hPoker.
