Party Poker has decided to celebrate the month of October by way of an Oktoberfest theme but adding their twist to it. Party Poker has launched a new tournament series titled Pokerfest, which offers forty seven events for players to enjoy with $3,000,000 in guaranteed prize money available.

The inaugural Pokerfest kicked off on October 23rd and will continue to run each day until the final day, November 6th. There will be at least three events running each day of various buy-ins and game types so players will have a good selection of games to choose from during the time period of the tournament series.

The tournament series will offer not only large guaranteed prize pools for each event, including $1,000,000 guaranteed for the Main Event, but they will also offer side events as well, so there will always be some type of poker action going down. Pokerfest 2011 will feature six game types for players to choose from:

No Limit Hold’em + Re-buys
No Limit Hold’em, six max table, deep stack
Fixed Limit Hold’em
Pot Limit Omaha
Pot Limit Omaha + Re-buy

Party Poker has catered to many types of players with buy-ins in low, mid and high levels as well as the various gaming types. Players can qualify for the events by participating in qualifiers at Party Poker. Qualifiers are still taking place for a few of the remaining events and they start at just $109, a fraction of the regular buy-in price.
