PokerStars has finished its testing period of the Zoom Poker games, and will officially be replacing the beta version with a finished product. The end of testing will also see Zoom arrive to mobile Android devices.
PokerStars has put an end to the beta-testing period of its new Zoom Poker games, and will now be launching a finished version in its most recent update.
The Zoom Games were launched some four months ago, and have since dealt more than 300 million hands during the beta testing period,
Pokerfuse reports.
The ending of the beta period will also see Zoom Poker arrive to mobile devices on the Android platform for players registered on .com, .eu, and .net sites.
PokerStars already offers poker on-the-go to users in these markets via its PokerStars Mobile platform, but so far Zoom Poker has been withheld while the test phase was still ongoing.
With the addition of Zoom Poker to the mobile platform, PokerStars could be taking a huge step towards consolidating the company further as the world's leading mobile poker operator.
Already, one fourth of all cash game hands played online today are played on a Zoom Poker table, and with the new update this number could now rise significantly as the fast-fold variation reaches a potentially very large market of mobile
poker players.
There is still no word out on whether or not a Zoom Poker update is on its way for PokerStars Mobile's iPhone and iPad users, as well as it remains unknown when the new update will reach players in the segregated markets in France and Italy.
