Recording of High Stakes Poker Season 7 delayed
The planned taping of the new season of High Stakes Poker will be delayed at least one month. The new season will now start shooting in December and not in November, as confirmed by the Game Show Network.
The popular High Stakes Poker series last month announced that it was ready for a new season of televised high stakes cash games, the seventh in a row from the Game Show Network.

Now, the series has however been postponed at least one month after Game Show Network officials have confirmed to the PokerKingBlog that taping has been delayed until December.

"GSN's seventh season of High Stakes Poker will be moving production dates from November to December 2010 in Las Vegas." an email from the Public Relations Manager at GSN to the site read.

It is as such still unknown what has made the production team push the taping of the show.

It similarly remains unconfirmed who will be participating in the new season, however, the production team does promise a cast of world-class players as it is tradition in the highly popular show.

"I currently don't have a firm line-up of players yet for this season, but rest assured that we'll have another great cast of world-class players this year." the email read.

High Stakes Poker season 6 featured 13 episodes, and saw players like Lex Veldhuis, Tom Dwan and Andrew Robl take part in the action in front of the cameras.

Season 7 was originally scheduled to air in February 2011, but this too remains unconfirmed.

I wonder what is delaying it, although it's not a big deal to me since I'm only on episode 5 of Season 1 right now, :). I plan to slowly work through every episode, as it really helps in understanding strategies by watching them.
