Lock Poker's purchase and rebranding of the Cake Poker Network will bring big changes to the network's rakeback scheme. As part of the launch of the new Revolution Poker, the network will begin paying out rakeback by the hour.
Lock Poker's ambitious takeover and relaunch of the
Cake Poker Network will bring along big changes to the network's most loyal players.
Lock Poker earlier this year announced plans to take over Cake and leave the
Merge Network.
As part of the process,
Cake Poker would be rebranded to Revolution Poker and Lock would be positioned as the new network's flagship room.
Lock's departure from Merge came with a bump in the
rakeback payout percentage, meaning that players on Lock as well as all other former Cake skins would have their rakeback raised from 33% to 36% on the new Revolution Poker network.
Moreover, rakeback will on Revolution be paid out hourly, spokesman Shane Bridges told
Pokerfuse today.
"We have ramped it up and are going to pay it hourly," Bridges said.

Accepts players from the United States

Rapidly growing player pool

Versatile, customizable software

Fast-claimed sign up bonus
The change will also come alongside a new offer for new players, as Revolution tries to attract new liquidity to the network.
According to this, new signups will receive a 200% deposit bonus up to $2,000 if they choose to sign up on for instance Lock Poker.
The two largest U.S. facing networks are right now Lock Poker's former home at Merge Gaming and the U.S. branch of
Bodog Poker, Bovada.
However, already one week after the launch of Revolution, the network reports of doubled player numbers compared to before the rebranding, largely thanks to a heavy influx from Lock Poker players.
