Poker.org's Second Weekend Winter Series has come to a conclusion with the grand $1,000 finale on March 10. Lithuanian player "diubel" of Fathers of Poker ended up winning the series and a $500 first prize.
Poker.org's exclusive Winter Weekend Series II has come to an end, concluding yet another successful tournament series for Poker.org's most loyal members.
The series took place across 25 different events on
Carbon Poker from November through March, and culminated with the $1,000
freeroll on Saturday, March 10.
The Weekend Winter Series II saw a long list of Poker.org regulars participate in the tournaments, joining in on the action as parts of more than 50 different teams.
More than 350 individual players played in the events, but once the series came to an end it was Lithuanian member "diubel" of the Fathers of
Poker Team who ended up topping the individual leader board with 1,226 points.
"diubel", who has won one event and finished as runner-up twice so far, will now be able to take home $500 for his achievement, as well as the title as the official Poker.org Weekend Winter Series II Champion.
Runner-up on the individual leader board was "MrPokerVerse" of the Out For Blood Too team, followed by "y2icon" of the Icons team.
The two Poker.org old-timers will get to share the remaining prize money, taking home $300 and $150, respectively.
Team Icons also emerged victorious the Team Competition for a $1,000 first prize, followed by Team Dracosul in second for $500 and Team Fathers of Poker for $300.
Finally, the series' highlight event, the $1,000 freroll on Saturday March 10th, was won by Israeli Poker.org member "dudira" of Team KNIGHTS.
