Second Winter Weekend Series come to an end
Poker.org's exclusive Winter Weekend Series II has come to an end, concluding yet another successful tournament series for Poker.org's most loyal members.
The series took place across 25 different events on
Carbon Poker from November through March, and culminated with the $1,000 freeroll on Saturday, March 10.
The Weekend Winter Series II saw a long list of Poker.org regulars participate in the tournaments, joining in on the action as parts of more than 50 different teams.
More than 350 individual players played in the events, but once the series came to an end it was Lithuanian member "diubel" of the Fathers of Poker Team who ended up topping the individual leader board with 1,226 points.
"diubel", who has won one event and finished as runner-up twice so far, will now be able to take home $500 for his achievement, as well as the title as the official Poker.org Weekend Winter Series II Champion.
Runner-up on the individual leader board was "MrPokerVerse" of the Out For Blood Too team, followed by "y2icon" of the Icons team.
The two Poker.org old-timers will get to share the remaining prize money, taking home $300 and $150, respectively.
Team Icons also emerged victorious the Team Competition for a $1,000 first prize, followed by Team Dracosul in second for $500 and Team Fathers of Poker for $300.
Finally, the series' highlight event, the $1,000 freroll on Saturday March 10th, was won by Israeli Poker.org member "dudira" of Team KNIGHTS.
Poker.org would like to thank all players and teams for making the second Weekend Winter Series yet another big success, and look forward to inviting everyone back for the upcoming Spring Weekend Series II, which will kick off already in April.

Congrats everyone and special thanks to my team captain MrPokerVerse for letting me be part of this great team. It was one heck of a fight this season to stay at the top of the field team wise, with plenty of good skilled players from all countries and playing styles. April is a bit away but already cant wait to duke it out with guys and gals on the felts some more.

Thanks Joe, appreciate those kind words. Team is only as great as the players, we do have some very fine poker players in the OFBT stable. We will be looking for a top three spot next session.
Speaking of stable, think maybe the author of the blog with the reference of "Two Poker.org old-times" might be heading y2icon and myself to pasture. Image that, two successful session for us and the hint of retirement. Hope it comes with a gold watch.

It was a great series for team Icons. They won 11 team trophies in the Winter Series II. Winning the team League back to back.
And they finished in the top 6 in the leaderboard. That is something worth bragging about !!!

MATPOC you are right abt this in wintertime ppl prefer sit more inside their home and then they can enjoy play poker sip hot chocolate listen nice carols by fireside (if u have one) but for me winter almost as bad as summer it is quite hot so this is nice dream but during rain it is similar feel then i do these thing.
