The Spring Weekend Series has come to an early end due to the recent developments in the United States. Leader board king "ionel1989" has been crowned the winner.
Due to the recent developments in the United States, which sadly prevented Poker.org's American players from playing in the Spring Weekend Series on UB Poker and Absolute Poker, the series has now ended with the current leader board standings counting as the League's final result.
With no more events to be played, the winner of the series is as such Spain's "ionel1980", who took over the lead in the
League after making an impressive eight final tables, with one win as a result.
"ionel1980", who is a part of the "Lions" team, ended up securing himself 460 points, and he will now be awarded $500 in first prize money alongside the title as the Poker.org Spring Weekend Series Champion.
Runner-up was Canada's "foldilox" of team "Bayoudawgs", who earned 456 points and a $300
reward, followed by Romanian "Tzest0s" of "MAMUKU TEAM", who collected 428 points worth $200.
Champion "ionel1980"'s team "Lions" also ended up topping the Team Competition with 410 points, and members "viomar21", "ionel1980" and "profu19" will as a result get to share an additional $1,000 first prize.
Second place went to "MAMUKU TEAM" who earned $500, followed by "Bayoudawgs" who took third and $200.
Poker.org would like to thank all of its members for joining the Spring Weekend Series, and congratulates both individual players and teams for their results.
The Poker.org League will return again in a new and improved format very soon, as we once again welcome all players to join the action in a series of
freerolls and leader board challenges with exclusive cash prizes.
The next series will be played on
Lock Poker of the
Merge Network, meaning that the League will be open to all players, including those from the United States.
Once again, thank you for playing and good luck at the tables!
