Some of poker's biggest stars are facing each other these days during the recordings of next season's Million Dollar Cash Game. Phil Ivey, Ilari Sahamies and Patrik Antonius are some of the names in play.
The Full Tilt Poker Million Dollar Cash game is facing its fourth season, and judging from the line-up, the televised show is going to be a bit of treat for poker fans worldwide.
Ilari "ziigmund" Sahamies yesterday announced his participation on his blog, revealing that he was heading for the recordings of the show in London. Here he will according to the show's website join Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan,
Patrik Antonius and
Mike Matusow in what looks to be one of the more interesting televised poker shows of the year.
Played in Soho in London, The Million Dollar Cash Game is produced by Emblaze production, and the show's three previous seasons has offered some of the juiciest
high stakes action available to
TV viewers. In 2007,
Phil Ivey won the first record-breaking pot worth more than $800,000 when he ran over Patrik Antonius with JJ against AT on AAJ flop.
The hand was at the time the biggest ever to have been played on a televised cash game show, but already the following year the record would fall when
Tom Dwan took $1.1 million in a single hand from Phil Ivey.
With blinds of $1,000/$2,000 and close to $2.2 million in play on the table, a

board sent both players all-in with the cameras rolling. Ivey turned over

for the bottom straight, only to see that he was drawing dead against Dwan's

nut straight, and the biggest pot ever won on TV went in Dwan's direction.
This year, Antonius, Ivey and Dwan will be accompanied by some of the most prolific cash game players on the planet in Mike Matusow and
Ilari Sahamies, and with shows planned to air in January 2011 on SkySports, The Million Dollar Cash Game is already now looking to break new records.
The show will as usual have commentary delivered by Full Tilt Poker's own Robert Williamson III.
