Real Bad Thought / Nightmare
Here it is. The reason Merge came up with Poker Maximus (every Merge site I'm on is participating as far as I can tell), was to get a bunch of big deposits,

because,

they know they are about to be busted by the USA.

Thoughts?

(Sort of like right before FTP got busted, they came up with the Multi-Entry Tournaments, perhaps to stimulate more deposits)

It's a possibility. If I play the series, the cash is staying off the network until the day I play each event. I just have this gut feeling that something is gonna come crashing down in the next 2-3 months.

Adding up all the buyins for the series is a nice chunk of change. Do you plan on depositing enough to cover each week? That sounds like a good strategy to me. Come to think of it I haven't deposited on Merge in quite a while. So I don't know how hard it is to deposit now. (I withdraw and leave $100, grind it up on double ups, and go from there most of the time)
There's one way to deposit without depositing; on twoplustwo you can send people GreenDot MoneyPaks and they will transfer you money on Merge using the player to player transfer. This also has the benefit that you can buy the money at 85%.

I'll just deposit in the morning when I decide to run events that day. I refuse to keep any kind of bankroll on any poker room these days.

I deposit straight from my poker specific Wells Fargo debit card, no problems whatsoever getting money onto any network with them.

With respect to online poker in the USA, I disagree. You cannot be paranoid ENOUGH.
