Thanks for the advice with HUD's I'll check out Poker Tracker soon. I've heard good reviews from people making direct conversation to me in the past including a couple of players I talked with during breaks of live tourney's. For me it's almost like switching teams rather than switching gears trying to incorporate a HUD into my bag of tricks. In contrast, I know I missing something playing online as much as I do without carrying any type of recurring profit. I've tried to pin the reason to everything from: players more willing to come from behind, not being able to read physical trends, micro's not being enough risk for players to ever slow down so there are a lot more hands with multiple players in a hand bumping numbers down.
I'm sure of one thing. Of the last five live sessions I've played both limit and spread (NL is illegal MN so I'll play 2-20 or 2-50 depending on the card room) I've doubled through or better four of those times and the other I didn't get broke I stood up with about half my starting stack. Top 3 in two of the last four tourneys bubbled by two spots in one of the other.Online trying to freeroll my BR I'll get up to around $300 twice a year and slowly drift down and out. FTP I did fairly well with SNG's but Carbons blind structure for most of their tourney's promote a lot more luck than skill IMO trying to keep action for either the younger crowd or inexperienced players. Somewhere, I have to try and stop the casual approach I take playing online and take a different prospective on my own leaks and take advantage of others.
Thanks for the black and white responses. If I wanted sugar coatings I'd buy candy. I wanted an opinion from those who are using a HUD as a tool NOT a tool using a HUD!!!
