The "crack" of online poker . . . .
The Hyper-turbo HUSNG!!!

How many of you play these? I am a bit hooked, ok a lot hooked lol. They are a lot of fun, quick action, fast paced . . . .

but there is very little edge, it's definitely something you need to grind out a ton of volume on and try to maintain your sanity through unbelievable beats and terrible downswings just to edge out a profit, if you can. But definitely fun.

Can these games really be beat for a profit over the long haul? I mean on top of fees n outlasting the losses on ur 70/30 n 60-40 hands not to mention the times you get it in as a dog n they hold? What is the rake they charge on these, can it all be made up in rakeback if u grind the hell out of it. How many can you play at a time, in a session, in a day? Sounz like alot of risk to lil reward but if youre beating em then grindgrindgrind.

Also, i think u gotta find another drug to name it after, i cant play PS but they got the new version of RUSH poker now im pretty sure, n if i remember correctly then that was for sure the CRACK of online poker. You may even be able to turn it around n call crack the RUSH of drugs.haha.

They can be beat for profit, you need to win 53% to come away with a 2% ROI (there about, depends on the site and rake %), and long term that is a decent return. If you are good at multi-tabling (I'm not), you can crank out a hundred in a day pretty easy. If you can put your win % at 55%, you're turning a 6% ROI which is good long term for any SNG.

my winrate at the lowest stake on Lock is only 51% over a very small sample of 400 games, which isn't quite beating the rake. But at this small of a sample size, a good or bad session swings the percentages quite wide.

All that said, one of the best I know of is Helio (hneves182 on pokerstars) Neves . . . This year so far he is just under 15K games, winning 52% of them for an ROI below 2% but a profit of over $24K (average buy-in is $75)

With my rakeback added in, I'm down two buy-ins over 401 games.

There are things you can do to increase your edge. Primarily, select your opponents carefully. Whenever possible, let them sit first, and if they are a fish, or you know them to be passive, or otherwise find you have an edge on them, take a seat. Players who have scorched you, just avoid them.
