My new life gave me Patience for the Game.
Hi there,
October 2011, I was in a motorcycle accident making me a Quadriplegic. Changing my life forever. Before my accident I was 24 years old who just got out of the military. I was an adrenalin junky. I played Texas Hold'em a lot. I read books, I played full tilt before they shut done. After that I played Live games. The thing was I had no patience. I would do good to start get close to to the money, and then play bad hands. The accident slowed me down. I was seeing things most people miss in life. When I started playing cards again, I had to relearn some betting techniques and skills. But, was playing and winning. I was waiting through the loose players in the beginning of tournaments. Pushing the limits in the middle of tourney. Making it to the money.
If Poker is a game of patience, I'm now Ninja. I just need to practice. The other thing is that all I do is play now. I guess that could be a good thing.
