Royal Flush - What Would You Do?
Ok, so during my latest trip to Vegas, I was playing Draw Poker at the machines, and switched over to Deuces Wild, which I rarely play. Usually play Double Double. Anyway, a little bit into it, I was dealt a Royal Flush, with a 2, which acts as a wild card, for 150 credits (playing quarters). As I was doing pretty well with my gambling so far this trip, I thought to myself, 150 or should I go for the 4000 (which you get for a Royal Flush)? So I said, what the heck, held the four cards, dropped the 2, and hit DRAW, and BAM, the Ace of Clubs fell into the spot for $1,000.

I'm curious, would you have gone for it, or not? :)

WoW. Thats amazing. Congrats. I am a gambler so if it was me I would have done the same. Just imaging if it was the $1 machine. That would have been 4K !

You know what I would do. Afterall I trained you, didn't I? LOL Glad you went for it and hit it. It doesn't always work that way, as we well know. But when it does pop in there and BAMS you, it's a pretty exhilarating feeling, isn't it? :)

Even though you and Shelley were over in the land of Oz, you were clearly in my head saying "go for it". So yes, you trained me, well. That was Royal #5 for me. I've got a long way to go to catch up to you, but I'm trying! :) And YES, it is VERY exhilarating when it happens. :)

Yes go big or go home. If you were playing to make minimum money then u take the guranteed cash. If you want a real story to tell you do as you did and hit it big. Poker players in general are big dreamers with the odds always stacked against you in big fields. Happy this happened to such a nice person :)

Yup, that's exactly what I thought....go big or go home, and I wasn't quite ready to go home at that point of the trip. LOL It helped a lot that I was up for the trip still at that point. Most people I've told the story to said there is no way they would have gone for it. Go figure.

Thanks for the nice comment Chris. Appreciate it. :)

Yes, I would have gone for it. Even when I'm playing regular video poker I go for the royal with 2 parts. If I won a royal flush while I was in Vegas I would go straight to the roulette table and put it all on black. And then when I won that I would go to the bunny ranch. ;)
