Hello folks, I'm new here but I've been playing poker for a loooong time. As a teen we would get together for some dealer's choice poker..stuff like acey ducey one eyed jacks, Murder, Indian, Chicago Hi/Lo...Holdem? never heard of it back then. I started playing online poker a few years ago on a site called "Score Poker" up in Canada. Has anyone here played there? This was strictly a freeroll site where you would try to qualify during the week for a $350 freeroll on the weekend. I came second in that a couple of times and was eventually sent $200. The point is, it was a great site to hone my skills and it didn't cost me a nickle. That site started going downhill though so I was forced to look at other sites.
I started playing the freerolls on Pokerstars and Fulltilt and I'd win a few of those and even graduated to some cash games. I wasn't doing great at this point and my Bankroll was meager. Then I looked at some of the private games which led me to a poker forum. I still hadn't used any of my own money at this point (and I still haven't) but my bankroll was steadily increasing. Some freerolls helped me get a decent bankroll on Walker Poker (no relation).
I eventually withdrew money from Walker and used that to make some first deposits on FT, AP and Pokerstars. This enabled me to take advantage of some first deposit bonuses. I was slowly increasing my bankroll on multiple sites now. Slowly is the key word here, I tried to practice good Bankroll Management and not blow my entire wad at once.
My biggest accomplishment was winning a trip to Vegas for me and 5 others by playing crew poker on another forum. I'm joining this forum because there's also team play here and it looks more interesting then the current offerings at my old site

. It looks like a few others have made their way over here too, so hello to those that know me from another site.
I still haven't used any of the household income on Online Poker (mostly because my wife would freak). I'll probably never be rich playing poker, but I won't go broke either.
So my philosophy is, practice good Bankroll Management, don't piss off your wife and have fun playing poker!
