Satellites.
I promised myself to play as many as possible (step) satellites tournaments to bigger, live tournaments this year. So far I'm trying.
OnGame has such a thing every day, like 2k5 starting field and by no means a turbo one. Takes more than 4 hours to get there, yet I'm busting out short of the last 25 to make it the next step. Today I had a player to my left, betting PF 5x, 6x like 80% of the hands, due to his big stack, due to the fact that half of the players at my table were away, due to the tight to nitty play of the others... So in SB I get 9's, I'm betting him his own measure of a bet: 5x, 1/4 of my stack. He calls, the flop comes AKx ... I cbet him, he raises me, no way to win this, sure thing he had an ace ...
Tomorrow is another day.

The biggest leak I see here is that you decided to 5x and bet 1/4 of your stack preflop. I think you did this out of frusteration that you were getting 5xed by a big stack. While he could more or less afford to do this. You couldn't. I think if you used a standard bet of 2-3x you get the same results for cheaper. Don't change your play just because someone else is doing it.

I know, not the best pay, but that was based on the player and table history; that player didn't fold to bets made before him, he flat called them mostly and a few were raised. The forth of my stack was to get value, but more as a blocking bet, since the typical 3x were raised and I didn't try to shove pre flop just to see him fold.
So the spot I was seeing there was me with a pair, not too low, and heads up in a pot with him.
I didn't change my play out of tilt, steaming for his bets, I was trying to take advantage of a situation, hoping he would not hit the flop, witch was unfriendly to me.
To me, my leak here was not to believe he could have hit the board, and just give away the hand after his raise.
