Thanks poker.org and carbon poker for the opportunity to play these games. In last nights league game i finished 5th, my best finish so far in any poker.org tournament. There was one scary moment when i had Q paired on a flop and there was a big bet on the turn and river with an Ace on the board. I called that to get the chiplead for sometime. Enjoyed every bit of the game and won $9 for my efforts, couldnt have spent a saturday night in a better way. My wife was happy too.

So i gradually made a transition from freerolls to working full time, helping my dad on various fronts, our company is doing better and its more rewarding than freerolls, so ive taken this route, still happy for everybody playing freerolls its great entertainment in my opinion, maybe some time i will play again.

So yesterday finally after a small break i cashed 9.75 euros in a tournament coming 3rd, it was a depositers 75 euro freeroll, and there were only 34 people playing, i made the money and ended up in 3rd place, my last hand was 56789 i went all in with that straight but it was up against a flush and i was out in 3rd place for 9.75 euro, first place was 15 euro and second place was 12 euro, 4th place was something like 6.75 euro. Im happy with my finish and grateful to the poker gods on that site. On pokerstars i made small cashes of like $0.28 and $0.27 yesterday on two different freerolls, and i made another 0.15 euro cash on yachting, the highlight of yesterday was the 9.75 euro prize :-)

I had such a bad experience in my winter league game on Sunday that i cant express it in words. I was dealt KK, a solid starting hand, a guy with AQ and me go into the flop, there were two Aces in the 5 community cards and im out of the tournament, just like that. Such a bad performance for my ex team Knights, i immediately sent a message to my team captain ROYALKNIGHT explaining to him that i had KK and they were cracked, he was very supportive and understanding. The best thing is ROYALKNIGHT went on to win the game that day, not only the first prize of $75 but also the precious points for our team. Im very happy for him. Other than that i have cashed frequently on poker stars freerolls, i deposited $11 for the promotion there and my pokerstars balance has crossed $21.5 in about 13 days, not bad at all. Im very happy with pokerstars and i think it is a good promotion. I cashed a few other small tournaments, but the key thing is in the big tournaments i have run bad, i played in a $10000 tournament, i got JJ and it ran into KK. Great game me. Played in a $5000 tournament on carbon, again i didnt cash. This has been dissapointing, but i will try my best to run better going ahead, hoping for many cashes in the future.

Saturday evening i attended a wedding in the family with my wife, parents, grand father and brothers. It was our family friend and my school friend Kapil Bhatias engagement party at Gallops near the racecourse. We were there by 9:30, met Kapil and his wife to be, my parents and grandfather met lots of family friends, i met some school friends, had a couple of mocktails, my brothers had wine and whiskey. The starters were yum, corn and cheese balls, fish, chicken, paneer (cottage cheese) starters, and cheese pineapple cherry sticks. We watched the youngsters dance on stage they had put up a dance performance on some hindi songs, and then we had dinner, the food was great as were the desserts. Played the $5000 superbowl freeroll last night, couldnt cash that, only 50 were paid, i didnt make it. Today i went to the airport to drop my grandfather, came back and went to the garden for a 30 minuite walk/jog more a walk and less of a jog hehehe, now im typing this blog, have a few freerolls to play today, hope i do well, have a great weekend people.

As usual ive worked 5 days this week, saturday and sundays are off for me, so im looking forward to the weekend tommorow. Tommorow i also have to attend a family wedding along with my wife, brothers and parents, that should be alright, some decent food and drink and ill be back home from there. Tommorow is the $5000 freeroll on carbon for players who picked Giants as the winners of the superbowl, me and my younger brother got that right so we should be playing it starts 1:30 am india time tommorow. The Winter weekend freeroll from poker.org starts at 10:30 pm tommorow so ill be missing that because of the wedding, thats why i only registered for sunday and not saturday. This is non poker related but part of my blog, we are planning to sell a couple of mutual funds since the stock market has improved a bit, got that work done today. Other than that i should leave office in about 20 minuites and im free for the weekend :-)

Everyday is a new beginning, take a deep breath and start again. On the way to work right now, in the car typing this blog. Had an ok day yesterday, didnt go as well as i would like on the poker front. It was my dads birthday so we had a small celebration at home, just the close family my brothers, my brothers wife, my wife and my parents. We had a pizza party along with some wine. Last night i decided to skip the poker tournaments and sleep early, felt fresh this morning for a $100 freeroll on carbon, was going fine untill i got AA i raised, a caller called with AJ, seemed like a nice double up at a crucial spot, but no, it was a straight for the caller he knocked me out at the later stages of the tournament, i said thx and gl in the chat box and closed my carbon poker application. Did i do something wrong raising with AA? No i did not do anything wrong getting my chips in with a better hand, but this is part of the game so i accept it with a pinch of salt. It's a new world it's a new start, It's alive with the beating of young hearts, It's a new day it 's a new plan. So im back to my bread and butter which is freerolls. I cashed 2 freerolls today (one by sitting out on pokerstars) the second was a pokerstars tournament in the morning where i earned $2.28, the other cash was $0.23. Not bad, a positive experience. Thats what i love about freerolls the positive experience (when you win that is :-) )). Tonight ill play a few more freerolls hope to do well in them. Other than that im on the way back home from work, i have a decent job with the family business, im a director in the company and with the grace of the forces that rule this earth things are going fine right now. Looking forward to a good week and then finally the weekend when i chill.

I was playing on a smaller site called yachting poker, they have their own network and a small base of players. Initially i was up a bit, and then there was a CONSISTENT downward trend in the game for me, i was playing relative micros, so slowly but steadily it got me a little disturbed and on tilt, i decided to play a sit and go on intertops for the amount i was down on yachting. In the sit and go i was down to 600 chips and i had to go all in with 34 and guess what i hit 3 trips :) I won that sit and go and recovered the entire amount i was down on yachting poker. Being a private network i have a strong feeling the cash tables on yachting are rigged. Im never going to play the cash tables there again because of yesterdays experience. I was very happy and relieved to have won the sit and go on intertops. Intertops has been a lucky site for me and their cashouts are very fast they pay in a few days, one of the best sites in the cake poker network in my opinion.

Saturday being a good day for poker i decided however to take my grandfather to the mall as he wanted to buy some toys for some kids in our family. The bill was about $80, i offered to pay but he insisted on putting it on his debit card. After that i bought him some chocolate, bought some chocolates for my wife, got back to find out i had missed a tournament on 888 poker that started at about 4 pm, i finished in 459 th place and 250 were paid, nothing much i could do as i was with my grandfather, earned about $2 on some games in the morning before leaving, and now will play the evening games including the league games that start at 10:30 pm india time, hoping for a good result, lets see how it goes, the competition is tough in poker.org tournaments, hope i get decent cards, grandfather and wife are happy.
