Yoda on poker: Using the force of deception

Strong hands are only as good as the pot win they. Strength alone will not big pots win, so the force to deceive one must use. Two ways of playing a strong hand, check raising and slow playing are. To trap opponents good players use these moves, and win more money from them. However, identical they are not. Check raising, with the intention of raising on the same round after an opponent bets is checking your hand. Slow playing, of its strength is playing your hand in a way that gives your opponents no idea. It may be checking, and then just calling an opponent bet they, yet calling a bet from earlier position opponents , be it may. Slow play a hand make you, using deception players keep in hand, while in order to make your move in a later round, you are. Clearly, to be much stronger than a hand you check raise with, a hand you slow play must be. Drive opponents out and may even win the pot right there, check raising can. While slow playing gives opponents either a free card or a relatively cheap card. Yes, hmmm.
Poker Math Fact: In Hold'em, when the flop puts one ace on the board, the chance that someone has an ace in their hand when 5 handed is 58%(1 in 1.7), 4 handed is 47%(1 in 2.1), 3 handed is 35%(1 in 2.9), 2 handed is 23%(1 in 4.3).

How often do you see a flop with Ace rag
1. Never unless checking from BB
2. Rarely, only from late position, or blinds
3. Half of the time, depending how I feel at the moment
4. Usually, always try to see a flop with an ace
5. Always, don't care about position or kicker

Poker Math Fact: When playing a pocket pair of nines, the chance of having no over cards on the flop is only 1 in 5 (20.71%)and it is more likely that the flop will have at least two over cards instead, occurring more than 1 in 3 (34.90%) times.
Happy New Year 2012 !

I witnessed pocket kings being cracked by 3h 9s and after the hand the winner called himself a "tight aggressive" player in response to being called an"idiot donkey that plays any two". At first I chuckled , but then I realized he was right , he had won out of the BB , with only having to check to the limping aces. The flop was 6s 8s 7s gave him a straight flush draw with one over card and 17 possible outs. With a 57% chance of improving his hand to top pair or better he led out with a pot sized bet and snap called when the kings shoved, and won the hand with a Ks on the turn. He capitalized on his opponent's mistake of limping with KK, a passive play in an attempt to trap. What type of player are you ? Do you fold small pocket pairs in early position ? Do you raise 3 or more BB pre flop with AA ? Do you limp in from early position ? Do you play any two suited in hopes of making a flush? Do you call with 3 overs to your pocket pair hoping to spike a set on the turn or river? Ask yourself, do you raise more than you call and fold more than you raise ?

.Π. When you are playing heads up, in 94% of hands dealt, your opponent has two unpaired cards, and if so, they will flop nothing in over 70 percent of those hands.

This is a good reason to raise on the button every time, when playing heads up, and put pressure on your opponent to improve their hand when the flop is dealt.
Called off their whole stack on the turn against my set of Kings w/out even a pair, and only 4 outs for a gutshot straight draw, and hits a ten on the river to win the hand, that is a sick donk there. It takes a lot more than skill and good hands to wade through the horrible pool of donks you'll encounter playing in WWS II. Luck must be on your side because good solid poker is just not enough. Good luck to all !
