Something to talk about 6/19/12
Well here we are again. And it seems that lots would like to know how i got the name "theMadBuddah" so, lets start there. First off, let me say that I'm pleased that you all enjoy the name. Although, I fear some may be a little let down by its origin. To be perfectly honest, its a combination of slang terms from back in the day...ahhh, to be young. The first part "Mad" was slang for " a lot". the second part "Buddah" was or still is, not sure, a term for marijuana. Shocked yet. Don't be. We all know that as youngsters, we do not always make the best choices. Hanging with some friends, nearing the end of a smoking session, I decided that I was not yet ready to throw in the towel so to speak. And I let this fact be known. As I began to crumble more buds, one remarked, "Man, you smoke mad buddah!" I really liked the sound of those terms together, and I claimed it. It became my tag on a few walls and railroad bridges. Hmmmm, I wonder if any are still around? No matter, as times have changed, and I have matured. Now in my mind, and I hope yours, the name means " the crazy god". I want my play to be viewed as "mad" at times. I think it helps to be unpredictable. Its fitting when I choose to make that crazy call and hit or get caught in a bluff. It makes me smile when I think I can hear you say "you MUST be out of your mind". And I think we all desire to be winners, champions and yes, poker gods. That my friends is why, I AM "theMadBuddah"!! I hope you all enjoy this and do not think less of me. And please continue to make suggestions, this is kinda fun!
