Halfway through the week
Well I figured I would put up an update seeing as how its already Thursday, time flies when you have a baby I guess! So far this week I am up a couple bucks, nothing major but have been playing well in my opinion. Been kind of randomly picking an MTT here and there to get a feel for different types/times of day and to gather notes on players. Managed to pull another FT and ITM yesterday in the $3.30 50max along with a cash or two in 27 man SNGs.

I figure I will just keep on the track I am on and building from grinding ring games with the added random MTT up to maybe a $5.50 buyin at most. Also going to start doing the same thing on Lock to see how I can do in their MTTs which I will log separate from Carbon obviously. And I will look to start doing some weekly graphs and such to post in here to show various results to kind of put a picture to the words.

Looks like this weekend starts the Winter Series here which will be my first. I feel like we have a solid team of 5 players who have been known to take some FTs and be ITM so only time will tell.

See you all on the tables

I like your idea of grinding cash as your main thing and adding in tourneys up to 5.5. My problem is i like tournies too much and can't make the transition to cash. I know cash is more consistent profit. What stakes do you play 4nl? And do you do 9table of 6max? Im trying to get better at cash if you have any pointers.

I am really looking to add more tourney play because I do want to get good in that area but seeing as how I suck, I need to build a big roll to give it a solid go. Thats where the ring play comes in obviously.

For me right now my ring play is really only anything from .02/.04 to .10/.25nl. I only look to be at full 9 seat tables also, no short handed play. Main reason for this is it makes multi tabling easier on the brain imo if I want to go that route.

As for ring pointers, in micros its pretty straightforward, dont get fancy, bet what you have and always be ready for someone if not multiple someones playing shit hands out of position lol.

Notes obviously are another key just like they are in tourney play. It ALWAYS makes me smile when someone does EXACTLY what my notes say they are going to do and I can just rail them. Always be aware of your surroundings, most of what you will do in ring play is fold and observe which is pretty easy given there is no stress of blinds going up.

I will put together some more on ring play as a full on post in the next week or so for you and anyone else who may be interested.
