Are you worried that PokerStars' near-monopoly status may have adverse effects for the poker industry?

It will be a bit uncomfortable that they own both PokerStars and Full Tilt but hopefully if the US market gets regulated, the big Vegas casinos will pump money into online poker rooms and create some competition.

I don't worry about it at all, there will be competition. The competition can either come up with a better product, or serve with a lower rake, or they won't be competitive.

As all can see,PokerStars already has a LOCK on online poker BY FAR.Another room, even FTP,isnt gonna make much of a difference.

They are already controlling the market.
Nevertheless I hope FTP will be different from PS as in the past with RB and nice promotions.

I was saying earlier how they do more business then all poker rooms combined. however i believe since the U.S. isn't allowed to play there now and are allowed to play other sites that most players, like myself will still play the little guy sites. it has more of a mom and pop feel to them.

I don't think the size means a whole lot these days how the site is run matters more .

Hope it doesnt!! But one always worries!
FTP involved or not, PS is already a monopoly. Once the US gets regulated, a nice Vegas based site will come along and get a good chunk of players there, thus making a duopoly.

No,im just worried as a player looking forward to fulltilt getting back on line, that they will fk up the tourneys,ie have as many as on pokerstars to influence the bingo players to risk going out calling with shyte as they know another tourney starts almost instantly if they get koed.
