The young Italian
online poker player - who made
PokerStars history as the first member to buy a Porsche with frequent player points from the PokerStars online store - has turned his sights on the live poker tournament scene with the same ferocity with which he dominated the
online poker tournaments at PokerStars. With over $1.5M and a coveted World Series of Poker bracelet accumulated in little more than five years since his first live tournament cash, Dario Minieri has the potential to to make great strides in poker throughout his lifetime.
Raised in Rome, Dario Minieri was already a Magic: The Gather champion, playing in tournaments around the world, when he took up poker. Starting out with heads up SNGs at PokerStars, a $12,000 victory in a $10 rebuy tournament convinced Dario to
play poker professionally.
In addition to Dario Minieri's subsequent success as an online
poker player, he has also racked up over $1.5M in live tournament cashes, as of his $11K finish in the WPT Venice No Limit Hold'em Championship on February 3, 2011. It was in 2008 that Minieri claimed his first live tournament first place victory and WSOP bracelet in the $2,500 No Limit Hold'em Six-Handed event.
When Dario isn't playing poker, he delights in driving his Porsche Cayman S. Online poker fans can find Dario Minieri playing online at PokerStars under the screen name "Dariominieri".
