Gaining the attention of
high stakes online poker railbirds at Full Tilt and
PokerStars in 2007, Sami "LarsLuzak" Kelopuro has shown amazing talent in the realm of nosebleed cash games. His fearless aggression and cool, unflappable demeanor is reminiscent of such renowned poker greats as
Phil Ivey and
Patrik Antonius.
Born in Helsinki, Finland in 1987, Sami Kelopuro was first introduced to poker when a friend invited him to join a sit and go style home poker tournament. Kelopuro decided to sign up for an online poker account, and has played on numerous
poker sites that include Betfair as "EskiMoes7", Full Tilt Poker as "LarsLuzak" and PokerStars as "lrslzk".
An admirably formidable opponent at No Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha cash games, Sami Kelopuro has made the leap into the live tournament scene as well. Scoring his first
poker tournament cash in April of 2009, he took 12th place and $64,850 playing in a No Limit Hold'em event of the PokerStars San Remo EPT.
Later the same year, Sami earned another $33,281 in the No Limit Hold'em Main Event of the Partouche Poker Tour II. Sami Kelopuro claimed his third tournament cash in April of 2010 at the PokerStars EPT in Monte Carlo, where he busted out of the No Limit Hold'em Championship in 12th place for a $114,761 prize.
Due to Full Tilt Poker being blocked from France near the end of 2010, Monaco-based Sami "LarsLuzak" Kelopuros has been forced to seek online poker action elsewhere, including skins of the
Ongame poker network. Sami Kelopuros admitted in his blog at Coinflip.com that he has not yet publicly revealed all of his online poker nicknames.
