BetMGM’s latest series of simultaneously running online poker series, the 2023 BetMGM Poker Winter Championships, will get underway on January 12, 2023 in the three U.S. states where BetMGM is available. Online players in Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania will enjoy at least two tournaments offered every day of the series, which runs for 11 days and concludes on January 22.

Each of the three single-state Winter Championships series offers 24 total tournaments, 13 of which are designated as “Trophy” events. Each day of the series offers one Trophy and one non-Trophy event, except for January 15 and 21, when a second Trophy event is added. The schedule of events is the same in all three states; only the prize-pool guarantees, for those events that have them, vary from state to state.

The series is almost exclusively no-limit hold’em, with a single 6-max PLO event being offered as the first of two Trophy events (6pm ET start time) on Sunday, June 15. The NLH bulk of the schedule includes numerous subvariants, including deep stacks, progressive knockouts, short-handed variants, and more. Buy-ins begin at $50 ($42+$8) and range all the way up to $2,500 ($2,400+$100) for each state’s high-roller tourney, which also runs on January 15, starting at 7 pm. The New Jersey high-roller carries a $100,000 prize pool guarantee, while the other two states’ high rollers guarantee $50,000 each. Satellite qualifiers to the series’ tourneys begins on January 5.

Elsewhere, only small differences exist in the posted guarantees between New Jersey and the other two states. One of those differences comes in each series’ $1,000 ($950+$50) main event, which runs on Sunday, January 22. The New Jersey main guarantees $175,000 in prize money, while in Michigan and Pennsylvania, it’s $150,000 each.

One promotional wrinkle being pushed by BetMGM for these Winter Championships is that each of the 13 Trophy events includes early-bird rebates: All players who have registered and are in their seats when a Trophy event gets underway will have the rake portion of their initial buy-ins refunded.

The complete schedules for each of the three 2023 BetMGM Poker Winter Championships are available via the tournament information page offered for each of the three states (MichiganNew JerseyPennsylvania).
