The live gaming event was expected to be held in New York, but is called off due to COVID-19

The coronavirus pandemic is still impacting several countries in the world, so companies that host mass gatherings have had to reconsider running live events for now. The Affiliate Summer East, which caters to affiliates in the gaming industry and others, is also being caught up in the mix. Gambling operators, especially those with online operations, are avid users of affiliates and marketing strategies to attract new customers; therefore, it is usually attended by many operators from sports gambling and casino industries. It has been announced by Affiliate Summit Corporation – a subsidiary of Clarion Events Limited – that the summit scheduled for July 27 – 29 has been postponed.

“It is with a heavy heart that we tell you that as a consequence of the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, Affiliate Summit East 2020, originally scheduled to take place on July 27 – 29, will now be postponed. We are in active conversations with partners, venue and relevant parties for new dates and we ask that you bear with us whilst we evaluate all opportunities,” said the event organizer in a statement posted on its website.

The company added that all exhibitors, sponsors and attendees will be contacted directly by the Affiliate Summit East team to address any questions or concerns. No other details were shared about other formats or possible solutions for the absence of this popular event in the marketing and affiliate industry; however, the organizers said to be looking for other options regarding new dates to host the summit.

This event is directed to serious businesses that want to improve their reach of marketing activities. It offers 150 sessions coming from the biggest names in affiliate marketing. Additionally, it offers a space for networking and interactions with experts in the industry, including an Exhibit Hall to get to see the newest products available to operators.
