Elias took down his first career Super MILLION$ victory and $448,842 on GGPoker Tuesday

The GGPoker Super MILLION$ $10,300 High Roller consistently produces must-see final tables, the seats filled with poker’s elite week after week. Episode 30 of the Super MILLION$ might have produced the toughest final table yet in the 30-week history of the tournament.

This week’s Super MILLION$ produced a two-time champion for the weekly tournament, and Episode 30 winner Darren Elias is no stranger to big-time tournament success.

Elias added “two-time Super MILLION$ champion” to his long list of poker accolades Tuesday, taking down this week’s tournament for a $448,842 payday. He pushed his career winnings at GGPoker to over $3.5 million with the win.

Elias, with more than $7.75 million in live earnings, came into Tuesday’s final table as a four-time winner on the World Poker Tour, and with 23 six-figure cashes on the live felt. He added another win in one of online poker’s most prestigious tournaments with the Super MILLION$ win.

According to the PocketFives database, the player has just under $6.6 million in recorded online tournament earnings outside of GGPoker.

Elias outlasts Astedt heads-up

Elias made his fourth Super MILLION$ final table appearance Tuesday, winning the tournament for the second time in his career. He also took down the June 23, 2020 edition of the Super MILLION$, winning $393,262 in that run.

Second-place finisher Niklas Astedt (2nd - $346,104) continued his run as perhaps the most successful player in Super MILLION$ history. Astedt made his second consecutive final table run, finishing as runner-up for the third time.

Astedt has yet to win a Super MILLION$ tournament, but Tuesday’s result pushed his career GGPoker earnings to nearly $6 million. Astedt, a former No. 1 player in the PocketFives online player rankings, also has more than $21.5 million in career online earnings aside from his GGPoker cashes.

Other final table finishers included Ami Barer (3rd - $266,833), Enrico Camosci (4th - $205,795) and Rui Ferreira (5th - $158,689). Ferreira has emerged as another regular deep runner in the Super MILLION$, as Tuesday’s run marked his fifth final table appearance in the tournament.

Much like the top five finishers, the sixth through nine placers in this week’s Super MILLION$ read like a list of poker’s top tournament crushers. That lineup included Adrian Mateos (6th - $122,366), Aleks Ponakovs (7th - $94,357), Bert Stevens (8th - $72,759), and Seth Davies (9th - $56,105).

Episode 30 of the Super MILLION$ drew 222 total entries, with the final prize pool ending up at $2,220,000.
