There’s no reason calculators and charts can’t be used to help you be a better poker player

One of the great advantages of playing online poker is that there are plenty of tools out there to help you improve your game, especially when playing heads-ups, which is one of the most difficult poker games to master. You can use these tools to accompany you during your game or you could also use them when studying your actions and analyzing how they went. Of course, there are tools out there that should not be used ever, like bots, which are illegal, but some other tools are even available for free.

Even if you are not an avid player of heads-up, most of these tools can be used for virtually any form of poker. The first one is the universal replayer that can become a great help to improve your game. You can import hand histories for your review. The best part is that it supports hands coming from cash games, sit and go’s and even multi-table tournaments.

Another great tool you can try is Poker Stove. This one goes deeper into calculating your equity and can tell you how often a hand can be good in front of another one in play already. It will basically lay out the odds of your hand winning against what is currently seen on the table, great for post-flop action. Also, the tool is available for free.

Another tool quite useful to improve your game is Shark Scope, which will give you information about how profitable a player can be or not. Since a lot of decisions when playing a hand of poker involve your perception of how good the opponent is perceived to be, this tool can give you a more accurate description.

Even though there are plenty of tools out there that are both useful and harmless to the game fairness, some other tools out there should be avoided. Using bots to run your plays in an online poker site is illegal and even though you think it might help your game, you might be exposing yourself to get banned from playing online poker.
