As with most gaming conferences, switching to an online forum is a requirement due to COVID-19

Another event organized by SBC Events is moving to online grounds. The popular online casino conference and exhibition CasinoBeats Malta 2020 has evolved into CasinoBeats Malta Digital, and will be a virtual three-day conference, exhibition and networking experience. The restrictions from most countries due to the coronavirus pandemic have forbidden this gambling conference to take place at InterContinental Malta in mid-June, where it had been seen in previous years, and the new dates for the newly transformed digital event are June 30 through July 2.

This digital summit will be presented by SBC Events in association with GamingMalta. Under this new agreement, CasinoBeats Malta Digital will use the same powerful technological environment that was seen during the SBC Digital Summit in late April. The first edition of the CasinoBeats Malta Digital will use some of the same key elements that make a difference during physical trade shows, which are so important to the gaming industry. The idea is to make all these features accessible to most people across the globe.

The Government of Malta and the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) created GamingMalta, which is a nonprofit foundation. Its main tasks are to promote Malta as a center of excellence among digital and remote gaming sectors from across the world. Another function of the foundation is to work directly with the improvement of Malta’s attractiveness as a jurisdiction to make it more appealing to the gaming industry.

“Via this collaboration with SBC, we are showcasing how Malta remains open for business, whilst celebrating the resilience of the iGaming sector. The Maltese authorities’ efficient response to the COVID-19 pandemic has not gone unnoticed by international investors,” said Ivan Filletti, Chief Operations Officer at GamingMalta.
