The tech giant is going to focus more of its resources on AI solutions

After the many functionalities that artificial intelligence (AI) has had in many industries, tech giant Microsoft is seeking to make a solid investment in the future of AI technologies. Microsoft has announced a capital injection of $75 million to build a new location in Atlanta, Georgia. This new office plans to bring to the state approximately 1,500 jobs related to AI and cloud innovations. The popular Atlantic Station district will be the location of this 523,000 square-foot facility, which is run by Satya Nadella-run enterprise.

This new facility will focus on AI and cloud services, but always facing the clients. That’s why a retail space for engaging directly with customers will be created. “Atlanta has a rich culture and history of innovation, making it a unique place for tech growth,” said Terrell Cox, general manager, Microsoft, “We are excited to expand our presence and further engage with the community and surrounding region, contributing positively to technical opportunity, digital fluency, and economic development.” Actually, midtown Atlanta has become a sort of a hub for these technological companies.

This is not the first involvement that Microsoft has had before and certainly not in Georgia. The company operates a cloud computing engineering center in the Coda Building at Technology Square, as well as other offices in Alpharetta and Buckhead.

If everything goes according to plan, the facility could be open this coming summer. “We are excited that a global leader like Microsoft Corp. is expanding its investment in Georgia with tech jobs that will be truly beneficial to the company and our state,” said Governor Brian P. Kemp.
