This just happened at a final table, and has been a problem before. A guy who was sitting out at the FT got 3 ladders, because he kept surviving all ins posting the BB while sitting out.

Players who are sitting out, and all in by posting blinds or antes, are allowed to showdown their hand. Giving them a chance to double up and stay in the tournament and get ladders they shouldn't be able to get.

In live poker if someone is not at the table their hand is mucked regardless of the fact they are all in. Players being forced to fold for raises should also be forced to fold when their stack is forced all in.

Before the discussion starts (and it should be an interesting one), how do you know this player was sitting out?

This is correct, he was being snap folded the entire final table. didn't play a single hand.

Our tournament director is in agreement.

Two changes to make based on this.

1. Players sitting out should show as sitting out.
2. Players sitting out should fold their cards on their turn to act on any street regardless of not needing to call a bet.

We'll put this on the list to improve. Thanks for the feedback.
