The eSports team dominated the competition as it secured another victory

The Vitality European Open Valorant tournament delivered some very entertaining games during its development, as well as a clear dominance from one of the teams. Beating Team Prodigy in the final match with a final result of 3-1, G3 Esports made the win look far too easy. This latest event represented the first European tournament in the Riot Games sanctioned Ignition Series.

This series ran some open qualifiers through which eight teams were selected to battle in the main event. This means that, for the first time in Europe, an eSports competition brings nothing but the best teams to battle each other.
The structure of the championship was simple; the eight teams were split into two four-team groups from where only the two top rosters were going to move on to the knockout stage.

G2 Esports team was playing in Group A, where it showed clear dominance among European teams; they finished first without losing one single game. Actually, the only time they lost during the whole series was on just one map during the group stage, which ended up in a 13-9 win on Bind by FABRIKEN. Shortly after, G2 returned and beat them 13-3 on Haven and 13-2 on Split, to finally win the match. Despite the loss against G2, FABRIKEN finished second in the group, so it also moved on to the next stage.

Group B was more even regarding the level of the teams. Both Prodigy and Party Parrots advanced out of the group with a 2-1 record. At the same time, Team Bonk, one of the favorites to win from before the series started, went home with just one win to their records.
