The 2024 WSOP is playing out in Vegas right now, but how can you give yourself the best shot at winning a bracelet? Check back daily for snappy winning tips from the world's best players. Strategy. Pretty. Damn. Quick.

#1: If you’re new to Pot Limit Omaha, start with the fundamentals, learn what a good starting hand is, and play a pretty tight range.

Examples are rundowns like J-10-9-8 with at least one suit, double-suited and connected hands like , most Aces and good Kings. Start by understanding what a good hand is to VPIP.

#2: Don’t get married to your hand if it doesn't connect on the flop. For example, A-A-6-4 on a J-9-8 flop is an easy check/fold.

I would stick to those two fundamentals; with more experience, you can add more advanced strategies. I’ll throw in one for good measure.

#3: Bubble play. The big stacks can get out of hand and raise a wide range. If you're a big stack, you can raise almost anything depending on the stack sizes of your opponents, as they're incentivized to fold even A-A-x-x to try and get into the money.

If you have a good draw and a bunch of small stacks to your left, you can open pretty wide.
