The PokerGO Tour will jump back into the game next week with the return of the PGT PLO Series at the Aria in Las Vegas.
Ten events will run from October 14 through 25 at the PokerGO Studio, and all of them will be pot-limit Omaha. It's the sixth such gathering for what has become a regular feature on the tour's schedule, and every point will count that much more in the lead up to the PGT Championship at the end of the year.
Buy-ins run from $5,100 for the first events to the $25,200 finale, with three bounty events mixed in between. The first of which is Event #2, the $5,100 PLO Progressive Bounty, followed by a $10K version for Event #5 on October 18. Also returning is the Mystery Bounty, a $15,100 buy-in on October 22.
Lonis to defend title
The last edition was held in the spring and it was Jesse Lonis who claimed overall victory with a win, a runner-up, and to third place finishes. He narrowly beat Alex Foxen, who won one of the $15K events. Daniel Negreanu, Bryce Yockey, Jim Collopy, and Chino Rheem also picked up wins during that series.
It all goes down starting on October 14 with final tables streamed live on PokerGO for the first nine events. The $25,200 finale will play Day 1 and stream all of Day 2 on the last day of the series.
The overall winner of the series will pick up a $10K PGT Passport bonus and a sweet gold cup, along with a pile of points for possible entry into the PGT Championship at the end of the season. Everyone is chasing Foxen at the top of the list, but the top 40 players all qualify for the $1,000,000 freeroll at the PokerGO Studio in December.
