The main sports leagues in the US have been around for so long that entire communities of enthusiasts and fans are created. Now that the world of sports is on hold while the number of new infections resulting from the coronavirus pandemic decreases, the online gaming scene has been bringing professional players together. Professional golfers and celebrities in this sport are coming together to enjoy an online poker session sponsored by MGM Resorts, and the funds collected will be assigned to charity. Also expected to join in the fun will be none other than the ultimate poker brat – Phil Hellmuth.

This Chipping All-In charity tournament tees off today at 3 PM EST and will be livestreamed on YouTube and Twitch. This online event will see personalities such as John Daly, Michelle Wie West, Collin Morikawa, John Daly, Lydia Ko and Cristie Kerr, among others, at the virtual felt, all participating for a worthy cause. The funds will be going straight into the MGM Resorts’ Employee Emergency Grant Fund, which was created for "employees and their immediate families with short-term relief in making payments or to meet obligations during unexpected hardships and emergencies. The fund is designed to assist those impacted by the coronavirus, including full-time employees, on-call employees and those facing layoff, separation or furlough."

For this event, MGM has decided to partner with the World Poker Tour and Loaded. While the tournament is taking place, viewers will also have the chance to make donations, and the participants will also be sending personal messages to those people who make donations. A live Q&A was also programmed so fans could interact further with their idols. Currently, the number of confirmed participants for this online charity poker tournament is 37 professional golfers and one poker brat.
