The partypoker US Network is serving up another special monthly series for its players in the three regulated US states where the network's offerings are available. Party's special February series, the Bounty Blitz Poker Fest, runs Sunday, February 20, 2022 through the following Sunday, February 27.
The Bounty Blitz Poker Fest consists of three separate but identically scheduled series, with the tripled series offerings running independently for partypoker's players in Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Each day of the eight-day series offers three separate events, with every event on tap being a bounty knockout format.
The three states' separate series are designed to appeal to grinders and casual players alike. Each day's events kick off within a fairly tight two-and-a-half hour window, except for the opening and closing Sundays. On those two Sundays, the three events get underway at 5 pm, 7 pm, and 9 pm ET. On all other days, the three events begin at 6:30 pm, 8 pm, and 9 pm ET, respectively.
One unusual aspect of partypoker US Network's Bounty Blitz Poker Fest is the added weight given to the bounty portion of the prize-pool payouts, especially in each series' later events. In many of the events, the bounty for knocking out another player actually exceeds the share of the entry fee that goes into the standard prize pool.
Each series' de facto main event, the $1,000 Purple Chip Bounty, is typical. The event headlines each of the three series' final Sunday, and it features a $1,000 buy-in. Of that buy-in, $500 goes to the bounty, $440 to the prize pool, and the remaining $60 to administrative fees.
