Series will run 14 tournaments in eight-day span, with more than $160,000 guaranteed
New Jersey poker players continue to see plenty of tournament series offered on the partypoker US Network. The latest offering on the partypoker network of US-facing sites comes in the form of the partypoker US Network Online Series, which kicked off Sunday and runs through August 23.
The series is available to players in New Jersey on the partypoker network of online poker sites, which includes partypoker NJ, BetMGM Poker, and Borgata Poker. The 14-tournament series marks the latest New Jersey series in what's been a big year for tournament offerings on the partypoker US Network.
Buy-ins for the various tournaments range from as low as $1, up to $320. The $320 buy-in tournament, Online Series #3: $15k Progressive Knockout Bounty. kicks off this afternoon at 7:30 pm EDT. The progressive knockout-format tournament's $15,000 guaranteed prize pool represents one of the biggest guarantees on the tournament schedule.
Plenty of PKO tournaments on the Online Series schedule
The partypoker US network introduced the popular progressive knockout (PKO) format to its tournament offerings as part of a major software upgrade last month. The US Network Online Series takes advantage of those new capabilities, with four of the 14 tournaments played as PKO events.
Online Series #3: $15k Progressive Knockout Bounty offers the biggest guarantee of the four PKO tournaments. Other PKO tournaments include Online Series #9, which begins Friday, and Online Series $14, which kicks off Sunday as the final tournament of the series. Both tournaments offer a $109 buy-in and $10,000 guaranteed prize pool.
The US Network Online Series led off with a PKO event, with Online Series #1: $2k Guarantee Progressive Knockout Bounty playing out on August 16.
$50,000 Guaranteed in the Main Event
The biggest guarantee across all US Network Online Series events comes in the Online Series Phase: $50,000 Main Event. The tournament plays with multiple Phase 1 flights, with the survivors of those flights advancing to Day 2 on Sunday, August 23.
The series offers a Phase 1 flight on each day of the tournament schedule, including a turbo-structured Phase 1 that starts just two hours before Phase 2 begins. All Phase 1 flights are available at a $25 buy-in.
Players can also directly enter Phase 2 without going through a Phase 1 flight. The direct Phase 2 buy-in comes at a $215 entry point.
Other notable events
The Main Event also offers micro and low tier versions of the Online Series centerpiece tournament. Online Series #12: $500 Guaranteed Micro Main Event and Online Series #13: $5,000 Guaranteed Low Main Event both kick off August 23, alongside the $50,000 Phase Main Event.
Aside from the Phase Main Event, the second-highest guarantee in the series comes in Online Series #8: $20,000 Guaranteed NLH, which begins Friday, August 21.
