The dominating female poker joins a small crowd of players to have won three or more bracelets
A massive win for poker queen Kristen Bicknell has added another achievement to her already impressive poker career. The Canadian poker pro has won her third World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet and the top prize of $356,412 after winning the $2,500 six-max No-Limit Hold’em event at the WSOP Online Series. She outlasted a field of 892 entries to achieve the victory, and her name is now next to female players like Barbara Enright, Vanessa Selbst and Nani Dollison, who have also won WSOP gold bracelets three times in the past.
Bricknell has been quite active in her poker career over the past several years; her first gold bracelet came from taking down the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Championship for women back in 2013 for which she won $173,922. Her second achievement came three years later when she took down her first open-field event by defeating the other 2,158 entries in a $1,500 bounty No-Limit Hold'em event that gave her $290,768. All throughout her poker career, she has accumulated more than $5.4 million in tournament earnings.
Bricknell’s latest win came yesterday when she defeated Belarmino "Iseey0urcard" De Souza in the final heads-up battle of the tournament.
The total prize pool collected was $2,118,500 and it only took nine hours for the tournament to conclude. "I'm shaking right now! I'm celebrating with some Uber Eats orders for a buffet lol," Bicknell told PokerNews.
The tournament started at 6 PM and, by the first break, it already had 500 entries collected. Before registration closed, 271 players survived, and the race to the bubble began. This poker event was filled with great talented players like Jake "YogiNelly" Schwartz, David "Mclovin86" Mzareulov and Dong "nuoyani" Jiang from China, who finished fourth and took home $140,365.
