PokerGO has announced that it will be hosting a second StormX Invitational on October 27, 2022.

The event will aim to replicate the success of the first StormX Invitational in which poker pros, celebrities, and members of the crypto-industry were thrown together in a $5,000 buy-in invitation-only event.

“The first-ever StormX Invitational Poker Tournament was such a hit that we absolutely had to
run it for a second year,” Simon Yu, the CEO and Co-Founder of StormX, told the press. “We are proud
to continue to grow our partnership with PokerGO and create another can’t-miss event for
crypto and poker enthusiasts, both those competing on the felt and those watching from around the world.”

This second event will follow the same format as the first. Same buy-in, same guarantee ($400,000), same kind of invite list.

Second time around

Poker players who have already made the cut include David Williams, Doug Polk, Brent Hanks, Tom Dwan, Daniel Negreanu, "Sashimi," Xuan Liu, and Maria Ho who recently became a StormX ambassador.

“I’m so excited that the StormX Invitational Poker Tournament is back for a second year of fun and festivities," Ho said. "I had a great time last year connecting with like-minded people from all over the world, and I love the continued collaboration between StormX and PokerGO in strengthening the long-standing synergy across the crypto and poker communities.”

That synergy between poker and crypto is already pretty strong. The crypto investors in the poker community needed an Olympic-size swimming pool for the collective bath they took on bitcoin this year.

The relationship between StormX and PokerGO has been more productive.

“Few poker events are as fun and diverse as the StormX Invitational Poker Tournament, blending together the enthusiastic communities of poker and crypto for an outstanding affair,” Mori Eskandani, President of PokerGO, explained.

“StormX remains a tremendous partner of PokerGO, as evidenced by the first-ever StormX Invitational Poker Tournament having a prize pool of more than $400,000. We’re looking forward to an even better event this time around, for both players and viewers.”

If you want to apply for an invitation, you can do so on the StormX Invitational website.
