Another gaming conference suffers because of the coronavirus global pandemic

Most likely, all mass events that are scheduled for the first half of the year will be either canceled or postponed. Following up Clarion Gaming’s ICE North America postponement of its event, and the evolution into a digital show, the in-person ICE Asia gaming conference has been postponed. The event was scheduled for this coming June; however, the postponement date looks like it is going to be for 2021. The coronavirus pandemic is still hitting hard in several countries, making face-to-face meetings impossible for the time being.

The good news is that there will be a brand-new digital event to compensate and it will come full of relevant content for the gambling industry. Clarion Gaming has partnered up with SiGMA to launch the ICE-SiGMA Asia Digital. The online summit is scheduled for June 8-10, which were the original dates for the live conference to take place in Manila, Philippines.

The conference will have three days of gaming content revolving around the Asian market. Local operators, leaders and industry experts will share their knowledge. Among the topics listed to be discussed during this digital conference are technological innovation, the future of gaming, and how the market can recover once the pandemic gives the world a break. The conference will consist of several panels for discussion, keynote presentations and the traditional networking space. These meetings will take place through an online networking platform so participants and attendees can hold meetings or close deals.

“My team and I continue to empathize with our global gaming community, as well as industries and supply chains around the world, that are being affected by Covid-19,” Clarion Gaming managing director Kate Chambers said.
