The official LoL sponsor is launching a new eSports initiative on Twitch
The official energy drink sponsor of the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) just announced the beginning of a new content series that will be launched on Twitch. Red Bull confirmed today that this new show will share content about strategy and analytics of “off-meta” team compositions in the LCS. The title of the series is “Metamorphosis” and it features several personalities from the league like Ovilee May and others.
The debut of the series is set for July 29 at 6 PM CT. The content will be available on Red Bull’s official Twitch channel, and there will be one new episode every other week. “Ready to break the meta? We’re excited to announce Metamorphosis!” wrote Red Bull in a tweet. “We’ll be putting our newest comps and characters combos to the test and give you a different way to play.”
Matt Archambault, Riot Games’ head of NA esports partnerships, said of this initiative, “Through Metamorphosis, Red Bull’s once again proving themselves a beloved part of the LCS community by finding fun new ways for players and fans to experience League of Legends. The series brings a whole new energy to League of Legends that all players can enjoy, whether they’re casual or competitive, and we can’t wait to see the crazy compositions that players throw onto the Rift.”
The LCS is already entering the seventh week of the nine weeks of the season, so this new series comes right on time to warm up the scene in preparation for the finals. Red Bull became the league’s sponsor during last year’s summer finals, and it recently extended its sponsorship deal with the brand through 2020.
