The leading gaming event group is adding a Latin American conference to its lineup

With the success many gambling conferences have found after being forced to run their events online, huge event organizers are announcing more virtual conferences this year. A full digital summit focused on the Latin American gambling market will take place on September 22-23 after SiGMA group announced the launch of its two-days SiGMA LatAm as the third and newest event on its calendar for 2020. The other two conferences are the traditional SiGMA Malta in November and, more recently, SiGMA-ICE Asia Digital, scheduled for June 8-10.

This new addition to the portfolio of virtual summits will be free, and it will bring together nearly 70 different speakers working in several sectors of the gambling industry in the Latin American region. “We have a strong workforce in Malta, in Kiev and in Manila. It’s time for SiGMA to grow its portfolio and expand outside its comfort zone, covering all time zones with a new office in the Americas,” said SiGMA Group Founder Eman Pulis.

According to Pulis, the two locations they were evaluating were Buenos Aires and São Paulo, “We eventually chose the latter for two reasons – there’s already a great presence of media and events offices in Buenos Aires and we don’t want to replicate more of the same or compete with our friends. In addition, the sheer market potential and current appetite for regulation in Brazil gave us more reasons to set offices there.”

Especially now that Brazil is taking a hard hit due to the coronavirus pandemic, this could be a great way to collect some additional funds and give a big boost to the country’s economy that has been shaking, according to what Brazilian Federal Deputy Pompeo de Mattos said.
