With Thanksgiving just around the corner, Americas Cardroom is giving players some special tournaments to be thankful for. A side dish of extra cash is on the menu during the "Thanksgiving Bountyful Weekend," running from November 24th through November 27th.
Three special PKO (Progressive Knockout) tournaments are featured across the festive weekend. With prize pools of $500,000, $250,000, and $100,000, buy-ins range from $215, $55, and $16.50 respectively. In traditional PKO tournaments, when a player is eliminated, the player who knocked them out receives part of the bounty and the other part goes into their own personal progressive bounty amount. However, ACR professionals will have a special Thanksgiving target on their backs.
If you manage to knock out one of the ACR Team pros, you get their full bounty amount, and also get the full amount added to your personal bounty. Huge bounties will potentially be up for grabs, especially late in the events. One ACR pro with an extra-lucrative target on his back is Chris Moneymaker.
